FAQs
Yes. I'm based near Woking, Surrey, under an hour from central London, and regularly travel across the UK and internationally for shoots. Past work has included multi-day productions abroad involving international crew and equipment logistics, including managing an ATA carnet for cross-border equipment travel.
Do you travel for shoots outside London?
1
Yes. I regularly act as the local director or crew for productions run remotely — coordinating with an overseas director or producer, handling UK-specific logistics like locations and permits, and delivering footage back to a team in another time zone.
Can you work with production teams based outside the UK?
2
Can you handle a full production, or just camera work?
3
Both. I can come in purely as a DP under your existing director or producer, or take on a fuller role — sourcing additional crew through my regular network, managing locations, and overseeing post-production through to final delivery.
What camera and equipment do you shoot on?
4
I shoot primarily on a DJI Ronin 4D — a cinema-grade gimbal camera system that delivers smooth, stabilised footage without the setup time of a full camera department — paired with Thypoch Simera C cine lenses. Filming is at 6K resolution with 4K delivery as standard.
How quickly can I get footage after a shoot?
5
Same-day or next-day, in most cases depending on the location’s or hotel’s internet connection. Rushes and dailies are delivered digitally via Frame.io, a dedicated video review platform, so remote or international teams aren't waiting on physical drives.
Do you provide sound recording as well as camera?
6
Yes. Interview and location shoots include professional dual sound kit — boom and lavalier mics for redundancy — for broadcast-quality audio.
Can clients monitor the shoot remotely or on set?
7
Yes. A wireless client monitor is available on interview and studio-style shoots, so a director or client can review shots live without being on top of the camera position. We can also set up a zoom or teams link for remote approval.
What industries do you typically work with?
8
Corporate and branded content for technology, industrial and luxury clients, alongside documentary and arts/heritage commissions. Recent clients include Land Rover, Sotheby's, English National Opera, Dorchester Collection and Qatar Creates.
Do you offer editing as well as filming?
9
Yes. A full post-production editing service is available, including colour grading and AI-assisted audio cleanup, delivered directly from location if needed.
What's your business setup — are you insured?
10
I operate through a UK limited company, Art Native Studio, and hold film production insurance through Lloyd's. I'm also registered with Directors UK. Documentation is available on request as part of client onboarding.
How much notice do you need to book a shoot?
11
This varies by project scope, but I'm often able to deploy at short notice for single-day shoots. For multi-day or international productions, more lead time helps with logistics and crew availability — get in touch with your dates and I can confirm quickly.
