I am a London-based documentary filmmaker specialising in portraits of creative spaces and practices worldwide.

After training in fine art I worked for a startup production company as Creative Director before gaining further experience as a Director/Producer in factual television. Although I’m often a self-shooter and editor I frequently team up with other professionals to get the best results.

My work aims to reveal stories around craftsmanship, ritual and the natural world by capturing creative individuals, their work and the culture they inhabit.

As well as commissions I’m open to collaborations with other artists and relevant causes. So please reach out and say hello if you’ve got a subject you’d like to capture on film.

In these current times of separation and distance, I’m developing concepts of how video can deploy art virtually and offer an alternative experience to live exhibition.

You can catch me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin and MUBI at @robbiemckane
